Our Spaces

Thoughtfully created spaces with a

sprinkle of magic..

Our nursery is equipped and decorated with children at it's heart. The nursery has three base rooms, Little Rays, Sunshine and Rainbow room. We understand and appreciate that to truly engage and expand on your children's ideas and curiosity they need indoor and outdoor space that can provide them with high quality interactions, tools and resources. They need a safe space to expand their creativity, explore further and continue to develop their own learning.

Inside, the nursery is specifically designed so your child has access to a range of inspiring and calm areas

in which to learn and grow.

We see our gardens as an extension of the indoor classrooms. Whatever the weather, we are prepared and ready to embrace everything the outdoors has to offer.

Little Rays

Little Rays is our room for children aged 3-15 months.

From cosy corners to open plan views, we have a beautiful space for all children to explore which is tailor made to suit this age range.

Our knowledgeable staff focus of the Prime areas of learning which include Communication & Language, Physical development and Personal, Social and Emotional development.

The basic provision remains the same so your child has a familiar space to return to each day with resources being changed up daily to create awe and wonder, encouraging your child to learn through play.

Knowledgeable practitioners are on hand to facilitate the learning opportunities, using your child's interests through free flow play.

"Babies form positive relationships with the nurturing staff who care for them. Staff support babies developing physical skills by placing activities on low tables to encourage babies to stand."

Sunshine room

The Sunshine room is for children aged 15-30 months

With a well equipped home corner to all things messy play, this room is set up to inspire our toddlers.

As your child reaches 24 months, practitioners begin to look at the Prime and Specific areas of the EYFS which include Mathematics, Literacy, Understanding of the World and Expressive Arts and Design.

Just like the other rooms, we have a vast array of resources to support all ages and stages of development and your child's interests.

Sunshine room has a lovely, sheltered garden attached which is accessed through the classroom. We heavily promote free flow play, allowing children to choose where they want to play which allows for optimum learning.

"Staff have created a highly stimulating and inviting learning space. They have considered all aspects of the environment, such as the lighting and smell, to ensure that it is an exciting place to learn and play. Toddlers enjoy spending time in the outside area; they use their feet to push them along on tricycles. Overall, children enjoy independently accessing the available resources"

Rainbow room

Rainbow room is for our children aged 30-60 months.

A beautiful, open plan space, with many areas for our children to explore.

At this age we continue to support milestones through all 7 areas of learning.

Within the pre-school classroom, we have a smaller one to one room which is separated from the main classroom. In this room, much like the sensory room, we practice mindfulness with the children which is led by an experienced member of staff. Listening to gentle and relaxing instrumental sounds children can immerse themselves in a calming environment and practice self-regulation, breathing exercises and traditional yoga, which was first developed in Southern India.

Leading on from the indoor classroom is our outdoor provision; a large garden space where provision is set up with just as much thought as the inside to facilitate learning through play.

"Children are excited to arrive at nursery, waving goodbye to parents and carers happily. They independently hang up their coats and eagerly find their friends. Children are happy and well cared for by the professional staff team. They demonstrate a sense of belonging, proudly telling visitors about their favourite meals and activities. Children engage in a variety of learning experiences that promote their curiosity and spark their interest. For instance, they cut fruit and make fruit tea to drink using a china tea set. Children's behaviour is good; they take turns and are kind to each other"

Sensory room

Within our nursery we have a shared sensory room which provides the perfect space for smaller groups of children, or for one to one interaction. Sometimes in life we just need a quiet, calm, and relaxing space where we can connect with our senses. Through sound, texture and colour your child will have just what they need to find their zen, boost their creative juices and recharge their batteries. The sensory room is enjoyed by all our children and has been designed for maximum relaxation. Time spent in a sensory room helps improve children's visual, auditory, and tactile processing abilities. The sense of calm and comfort provided by the sensory room can help children self-regulate their behaviours as well as boost their self-esteem, enhance their imagination, and support their communication and social interactions, whilst raising their concentration levels.

Sensory experiences also support children with additional needs such as sensory, learning or hearing impairment. We also find that children, who need more time to adjust, benefit from having a comfortable and quiet place to settle in and gain confidence at their own pace. All rooms have access to the essential area which has been reimagined and redesigned for maximum relaxation.

"Children enjoy spending time in the dedicated  calming room. They lie down in the dimly lit room and listen to staff share positive affirmations. This helps to build children's confidence and self-esteem. Children are given the opportunity to express how they are feeling which supports their developing emotional literacy"
